Have you ever been tempted to say ‘Well, if God wanted to change me in that area He would have already done it; this is just me and I know God loves me just like I am?’ Make no mistake; God loves us, just for who we are. But that doesn’t mean He loves the way we are. Remember, He also loved us when we didn’t love Him. In fact, He loved us no less than He does now. However, there are still some things about us God desires to change, and that requires not only our submission to His purpose, but our active involvement in the work. In fact, He loves us too much to want us to remain the way we are.
