For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Chrlst Jesus.
Rom. 3:23-24
Today‘s scripture: Romans 3: 1-8, 21-26
God‘s plan of salvation is simple enough for everyone to understand. Here are the ABS’s of Salvation through Jesus Christ:
- A – Admit honestly to God that you have sinned and disobeyed Him. All persons need salvation. Each of us has a problem the Bible calls sin. Sin is a refusal to acknowledge God’s authority over our lives. Everyone who does not live a life of perfect obedience to the Lord is guilty of sin.
The Bible says: All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23); The wages of sin is death (or everlasting punishment). Romans 6:23
- B – Believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose again. Believe that His blood was shed to pay for your sins. The Bible tells us that God loves each of us and that God offers us salvation; although we have done nothing to deserve His love and salvation, God wants to save us. In the death of Jesus on the cross, God provided salvation for all who would repent of their sins and believe in Jesus.
The Bible says: For God so loved the world that He ‘ gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
- C – Choose to trust Jesus alone for the forgiveness of your sins. It’s not something you can earn, but it is something you can ask for.
The Bible says: Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
When you trust Jesus to save you, God forgives you! You become His child, and He promises you a home in Heaven forever.
